ETS receives 4.7 million Euro in EU funding

The ETS Association has been awarded with a grant of 4.7 million Euro from the European Union for the rollout phase the European Tracking Service on Pensions, which is scheduled for five years. The funding was obtained through a successful project proposal submitted by the ETS Association in response to a Call for Proposals launched by the European Commission in 2023.

Communication of the European Commission on digitalisation in social security coordination

In September 2023, the European Commission published a communication on “Digitalisation in social security coordination: facilitating free movement in the Single Market”.

ETS participation at the 103rd meeting of the EC Technical Commission

Last but not least in the context of the aforemetioned communication on the digitalization of social, representatives of the ETS association were invited to present the project at the 103rd meeting of the Technical Commission for Data Processing on the 6th of February 2024.

Political attention for pension tracking

Pension tracking is high up the political agenda towards a new mandate for the European Commission. The Eurogroup of EU Ministers of Finance has made it a priority, stating: “Member States are invited to develop pension tracking systems to provide citizens with an overview of their future retirement income, where needed, based on input from the European Commission.”

Meet the members: Theo van Kessel (APG)

This is the first of a series in which we question ETS members about pension communications and pension tracking. Today we speak with Theo van Kessel, from APG. APG is the largest pension service provider in the EU. It provides pension administration and asset management to several pension funds. Within APG, Theo is in charge of the transition to the new pension system. Theo is also an ETS Board Member.
